Archie Slwooko of Gambel Alaska carved this Mother and Pup Walrus from an old walrus jawbone. Slwooko’s walruses have a distinctive style, captured here not only in the adult, but in the pup. Baleen and ivory were used for the eyes. The tusks were made from ivory. Signed A.H.S.
