Description
BJ Fragua is an exceptionally talented artist, creating some of the best of Jemez traditional pottery. She was inspired to make pottery by her mother Juanita many years ago.
This bowl which is 4 carved in 4 segments is a marvelous example of the graceful and stylish work done by BJ Fragua. She has painted 2 corn maidens and 2 lizards with pueblo designs in the carved areas on this bowl. The painting is particularly beautiful, and the polishing has made for a smooth and elegant piece.
